Migori to get first Covid vaccine on March 13, only medics, police and teachers to get jab

Migori county will receive her first batch of Covid 19 vaccine by March 13, County health executive Mr Kephas  Nyamita has confirmed.

Nyamita told Migori News the Oxford-Astrazeneca vaccine will first be available to front care health workers. “which will be followed by teachers and police officers.”

“We will be target both public and private hospital health care workers,” he said.

He said already a team of medics have received training on how to administer the dosage.

He said even though the vaccination process is voluntary, those who peddle falsehood against the vaccine will be arrested.

The Qatar Airways plane flight QR1341 ferrying a consignment of 1.02 million units of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 11.50pm on Tuesday midnight and was received by Health CS Mutahi Kagwe.
