Al Shabaab kill 14 people in Lamu, Tana Delta fresh attacks

At least fourteen people have been killed in fresh attacks in Hindi and Tana Delta days after police in Kilifi arrested suspected Mombasa Republican Council member.

Attackers released a suspected ringleader of Mpeketoni attacks at Gamba police station.

Among the dead were some inmates at Gamba police station. Police have recovered ten bodies in Gamba and four in Hindi.

Search for more bodies is ongoing with fear of more bodies being picked.

Hindi is in Lamu county and Gamba in Tana River and Alshabaab has claimed responsibility in both accidents.

Many are missing in Hindi and there is an indication that the death toll will rise as time goes. Houses were also torched and police boss David Kimaiyo has confirmed the incidence.
