Nyamosense FC won the 2019 Britim Tournament after Elly Nicholas scored a brace against Getong’anya FC.

Nicholas scored at 20 minutes after capitalizing on weaker defence to slot in the first goal, before scoring the winner 13 minutes later.

“My team was prepared to carry the trophy this year, we kicked off with a good since the grassroots,” Joseph Mangiti the coach said.

Kugisingisi FC won in the third after Gosense FC declined to take up penalties shoots in a full time baren draw.

Britim, a local Migori company is owned by businessman Johnex Mwita who organised the tournament which brought together 25 teams.

Each team got a football with winners getting several gifts and trophies.

“The tournament started from campaigns for governor Okoth Obado re-election, we have maintained it so far with a revolving trophy,” Johnex said.

He lauded Obado for supporting the team as the best way of boosting talent in the ground.

Obado lauded the tournament as the best means of bringing change among youths.
