(PHOTOS) Mosfa FC wins bigger, better Nyamita’s Tukaza Talanta sixth edition graced by Ababu and Harambee Stars

Mosfa fc are the champions of the 6th edition of the Tukuza Talanta tournament after edging out Homeboys fc 4-3 in a post penalty shootout played at Rapogi boys high school in Uriri sub county.

Both teams went to a barren draw in the 90th minute of play in an entertaining match that attracted thousands of spectators from the sub county and the county at large before going straight to the penalties.

In the women soccer finals, Rising stars fc showed their might by thrashing Nyakurkuma ladies 2-0 to clinch the converted trophy.

Each ward from Uriri Sub County that has four wards presented a team in both the disciplines in a tourney which started from the grass root level up to the constituency level and is sponsored by the area MP Mark Ogolla Nyamita.

Cabinet secretary for sports Ababu Namwamba who attended the event directed the football Kenya federation to come up with various ways of ensuring football talents are tapped from the grass root level adding that other talents like music will also be identified through the bottom-up approach even as they put up infrastructural development for such activities.

On his part Uriri Mp Mark Ogolla Nyamita applauded all the teams that participated in such a noble activity whose aim was to empower the youths and women especially during the long holiday.

6 players have been selected and will be taken for trials in top clubs in the Kenyan premier league and on the other hand, Sharon Awuor from Uriri starlets took the golden glove, with Phoebe Labile also from Uriri starlets taking home the golden boot after becoming the top scorer of the tourney with 6 goals.

Clinton Musera from Homeboyz took the golden glove for men soccer with John Chris from Mori fc taking the golden boot.

During the tournament, no team went home with less than Ksh.5,000 a set of uniform and a ball with champions Mosfa fc and Rising star fc soccer men and women pocketing Ksh.50,000 each a trophy, a set of uniform and a ball.

The final event was also attended by various leaders who included, Langat MP Phelix Odiwuor AKA Jalango, Deputy FKF president Doris Petra and Ray Oruwo the Gor Mahia CEO among other leaders.
