Ngege FC wins both senior, junior trophies for SOYOTA tourney

Ngege FC showed their might by clinching both senior and junior categories of the annual Suna East Soccer Youth Talent (SOYOTA) tournament played at Ngege primary school grounds.

In senior category Ngege beat Ukwe 1-0 in the final of the games with the only goal being scored by Tonney Akanga.

While in the junior category Ngege youth beat Osingo youth 2-0 to clinch the trophy.

In the senior category, best goal keeper accolade went to Roney Omondi of Ngege FC, best defender Meshack Omondi of Ngege FC, best midfielder for Silas Onyango of Nyamware FC.

The top scorer was Essien Tonney from Ludhe Dongo FC who scored seven goals while  Sam Siro from Ngege FC was the best player.

In the junior category, the best goal keeper was Rafael Odemba from Ngege FC, best defender Rooney Chacha of Ngege FC while best midfielder went to Victor Olima.

Top scorers went to Samson Olela of Osingo youth and Samson Gift of Ngege youths with both players scoring six goals each.

The awards for each category includes;

Juniors U 13

  • Winner –  Jersey,10k and a ball
  • Runners up – 5k and a ball
  • Third place – 3k and a ball

Seniors

  • Winner – 20k,Jersey, ball
  • Runners up – 10k and a ball
  • Third place- 5k and a ball

Every team that participated got a Mikasa ball.

The sponsors of the tourney Oballa Clinton and Naftali Odie showed their delight with the quality of games and talents.

Odie promised to push for trials of some interested players in some of the advanced clubs in the country
