Suna West MP Peter Masara has lauded the high level of talent in the constituency as Pentagon FC clinched the 2019 NG-CDF tournament.

Masara said the three outstanding players from the tournament will get trials at Gor Mahia playing at Kenya Premier League and Shabana in National Super League after being picked by their agents.

Pentagon FC from Ragana Oruba ward won the tournament after thrashing Masara FC from Wiga ward 1-0 in an enthralling finals held at Masara secondary school grounds.

In the play offs of the matches, Giribe FC defeated Nyamome FC 2-0 in their match which however ended prematurely.

In the netball matches, Wasweta 2 ward emerged victorious after edging out Ragana Oruba women 18-10 in the finals.

During the entire one weeklong event 57 teams from four wards in the football men and netball women participated with four best teams from each ward were awarded uniform and balls.

Winners were awarded the trophy, uniform, a ball and a cash price of Sh15,000.

First runners up got unfirom, a ball and cash price of Sh10,000 as the second runners up being awarded uniform and cash price of Sh7,000.
