Awendo MP aspirant Paul Onyango has organised a constituency tournament which kicked off this boxing day.

The Canada based politicians was represented at Malunga Primary School grounds for official kick off ceremony by local politician.

“We kicked off the tourney in South Sakwa ward and we will roll it over across other wards as our dream is to represented Awendo constituency in 2027 general elections,” Siengo said.

He said the main aim of the tourney was to bring peace between players and participants should be peaceful and so far the turn out was perfect.

“We are happy the teams prepared well and we organised these games to help young people and youths to promote their talent,” Siengo said.

Apart from the games, Paul has also invested in Awendo voters through a foundation that has been helping old people build new houses.

“The foundation has also help people with disability especially those in need of spectacles,” Siengo said.

The foundation has also supported vulnerable children pay school fees and help building churches through harambees.

Lucas Odhiambo who is in charge of the tournament said on April they will be in West Sakwa.

“By December we will have covered the entire constituency and we will b ready for the constituency games,” he said.

He said both men and women football team will be involved in the games in addition to ajwa, eating competition and sack race.

Winners will get Sh15,000 prize, first runners up will bag Sh10,000 and the third best team will get Sh5,000.
