MIGORI COUNTY HEALTH WORKERS STRIKE.

Following the strike notice issued by Migori County health workers Union, Migori County Governor, His Excellency Zachary Okoth Obado, wishes to make the following clarifications:

•That he has addressed all the grievances from both Union of Kenya Civil Service (UKCS) and Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Union (KMPDU) as stipulated in the two separate strike notices.

•That a number of significant and workable resolutions have been achieved with strategy of rapid results.

•That His Excellency the Governor has provided very strong, focused, strategic and useful recommendation for the health workers.

The health workers are therefore advised to promptly report to work as the County government gives dialogue and conciliation a priority to find a long term solution to the challenges in the Ministry of Health Services. In the meantime, the Union leaders are advised to call off the strike.
