LETTERS: Gambling menace should be controlled- CALVOGUDBOY

Gambling addiction

By Opiyo Calvince (Calvogudboy)

In the past gambling  was viewed  as an unacceptable  way of life. Gamblers  were viewed  as jobless  people  who gamble to pass time.

To my surprise Kenya is slowly adopting  the gambling  culture and this practice  is becoming  part of our daily  lives.

This has been  made possible  by emergence  of betting  clubs and sites. Football  has become  the main field  that Kenyans gamble on.

No Country  can develop  through  such schemes. Our son’s and daughter’s must not be misled  to believe that there are easier  ways of making  money without  working  hard.

Let us  go our culture of  hard work.
