Migori governor Okoth Obado’s family has said they are deeply concerned by harassment their son is going through.

They said they have been silent and humble as their son was going through police cells, but the recent dramatic arrest at Hilton Hotel was the straw that broke the came’s back.

“We are deeply concerned by the frequent and continued harassment of Obado,” Samuel Odhiambo, the family spokesman said.

He added: “We read malice and mischief in all these activities as they are strategically aimed at intimidating the Governor and reducing him to a mere shell.”

They said during the last raid to look for EACC corruption files, the police broke the law in getting eight guns from his Rapogi and Lavington homes.

“We note that these unwarranted tribulations of the Governor because of his associations are a witch hunt and uncalled for,” the family said.
