Migori County Ford Kenya leaders have asked the party’s national  leadership to kick out Kitutu Chache MP Richard Onyonka from the party.

Led by the County Ford Kenya chair Samuel Migore the leaders said Onyonka had gone against against NASA which sponsored him to parliament in the last election by openly supporting Jubilee.

Yesterday Onyonka and other MP’s from Kisii and Nyamira distanced themselves from Raila Odinga’s swearing in set to happen later this month.

Speaking on behalf of the MP’s at parliament building,Onyonka said they recognize Uhuru Kenyatta as the validly elected President.

“At this time, our President is Uhuru Kenyatta. That is what the people back in my constituency know but that doesn’t mean that there are no issues to be talked about,” Onyonka was quoted in Daily Nation.

The leaders called for the immediate expulsion from any party leadership position that the legislator holds.

The Ford Kenya chairperson said that bearing Onyonka will not support NASA agenda in parliament after he had openly discredited its party leader Odinga.

“It is also said that Onyonka is a deputy party leader in Ford Kenya. We don’t know when he was given that post,” Migori said.

Migori said a party delegation conference ought to have been convened to elect any leadership “to avoid such issues.”

Migore said Onyonka had shown signs of not being in solidarity in NASA when he took a delegation from Kisii to statehouse last year.

“The party does not belong to few individual who just hand pick individuals without vetting thereby causing chaos for the party in future,” Migore said.

The leaders asked Onyonka to apologise or he be stripped off of any leadership positions in NASA and Ford Kenya.
