Residents of Kakrao Ward in Suna East are a frustrated lot after they reportedly could not access their area Member of County Assembly, George Owiti alias Rao Nyadundo.

Speaking at Kakrao Center, earlier today the residents said they had not seen the MCA since the 2017 general election.

The residents who spoke to Migori News said they were yet to witness development projects as opposed to other Ward in the County.

Paul Odhiambo Otieno said they are living as orphans with no one to look up to.

“We do not know where he is and we are yet to see him. So wherever he is working, which is not Kakrao, we do not know but as residents of Kakrao we know we do not have an MCA,” Otieno said.

Moses Otieno alias Mali Kwa Mali said Kakrao residents were languishing in poverty and the region was lagging behind in terms of development.

“Kakrao is known but we are yet to see any ‘fruits’ from Kakrao area all the way to Nyarongi. That is the sad reality,” Otieno said.

Kennedy Okelo Athiambo wondered why the MCA was unable to traverse the county during high profile burial ceremonies in the Ward.

The MCA however termed the claims as fake adding that he had not declined any officially communication from the residents to visit their area.
