A Migori county assembly member was on Monday hurt in a scuffle as attempt to petition remove of public service board ended up in disarray. Nominated MCA Stella Ombonya was rushed in the nearby Migori Referral Hospital after she was hurt when angry MCAs disrupted a special sitting.

In a gazette notice dated January 11, Migori speaker Charles Owino called the special sitting to consider a petition of the remove of public service board members chaired by former Awendo MP Jared Kopiyo.

The siting was also to debate on “tabling of the Report from the board establishing offices in the office of the governor,” and seek “communication on the nominee for appointment as the county attorney.” Trouble started as angry MCAs stayed outside the chambers even as bell rang for the session to start at 9:30am in an apparent stand off against governor Ochillo Ayacko who political hand has been seen in the move to remove the board.
