Demonstrators in Migori County have threatened to hold demos on a daily basis if National Resistance Movement Miguna Miguna is not released.

The demonstrators barricaded the main Migori – Isebania highway for hours bringing business to a standstill.

John Otieno, said they had resorted to take the law into their hands due to the government disregard of the law.

Otieno said the high court had released Miguna on bond, ordered he be produced in court, all of which the government defied.

“They arrested Miguna Miguna and they have refused to tell us where he is being held,” Otieno said.

Steven Otieno demanded that Miguna be released unconditionally.

“Let Uhuru release Miguna Miguna and we do not recognize him as the president of Kenya. Raila Odinga is the fifth president of Kenya,” he said.

The police however stayed away from the demonstrations but banking halls remained heavily guarded.
