Chrisco Church members at their burnt church

Chrisco church members from Rongo had brief Sunday service after fire gutted their church.

A church member Dorcas Adhiambo, also lost over Sh900,000 as her 450 sacks of charcoal in a store next to the premises was also burnt.

Adhiambo said she was offered a store next to the church to help he in businesses.

Joseph Bara, the church pastor’s said all church equipment was burnt in incident that started at 9pm and was only contained at 2am.

“We tried to fight the fire using water and couldn’t salvage anything,” Bara said.

Rongo OCPD Peter Kirui said they have launched investigations over the crime.
