They braved the chill and rain as they demonstrated against Gove Okoth Obado and Migori county government today morning.

People living with disability in Migori county demanded to know the status of Sh20million allocated to them carrying their lame colleagues, twigs and placards against.

They also blamed the governor for discriminating against them in jobs and tender allocation by his government.

They were led by their chairman Bernard Ochuodho who said it was a big shame to Migori for PWD to come out in the streets to demand their rights.

“Shame on Migori county government for refusing to hear our plea,” he said.

Esther Onana, the group’s vice chairperson said they will not vote back the county leadership until they get their pay insisting they are 15 per cent of registered voters.

Christopher Rusana (County Secretary) and Tom Kasera ( Finance Executive) represented the governor Obado who was not in.

The two insisted the money was not stolen and will release the policy to spend it soon. They had a meeting with the PwD leaders to iron out the differences.
