Former Rongo MP and Migori governor aspirant Ochillo Ayacko has warned MCAs against going to bed with Obado instead of playing their oversight role.

Ayacko said he was shocked during the funeral of Councilor Arama in Uriri recently when MCAs who rose to speak started supporting the executive instead of playing any oversight role.

He said he was shocked by the sycophancy of MCAs especially when the Auditor-General report showing massive corruption in Migori is out.

“MCAs will carry the burden of a failed executive with the electorates who are yet to feel the benefit of devolution,” he said.

He was speaking at Oruba-Ragana Ward, Suna East constituency on Saturday during the funeral of Mzee Peter Ngere who was the husband of the Migori Women Representative aspirant Gladys Ngere.

He spoke after several MCAs had introduce themselves and addressed speaker Gordon Ogolla who was at the function.

“Mr. Speaker I know you are neutral, but please advise your MCAs and empower them to follow their standing orders and please play an oversight role in Migori,” he said.

He said when elected he will ensure that he works will all elected MPs irrespective of their party affiliation unlike Obado who has a problem with all elected legislatures in the county.
