Obado’s deputy Mahanga surfaces after long absence, vows support to his boss

Migori County deputy Governor Nelson Mahanga has resurfaced after several months of illness and vowed support to his beleaguered boss, Okoth Obado.

Mahanga was in county government headquarters  to witnesses the swearing in of several town municipal board members after staying from office for almost a year.

“I have been sick for some time and have not been in public limelight especially to defend my brother and boss Obado over attacks,” he said.

He said leaders from Kuria criticising Obado over development in the area should desist.

He said all communities in Migori should live in harmony.

“Obado led leadership has plans to upgrade Kehancha and Isebania town among others,” he said.

Kuria East MP Marwa Kitayama has in many occasion accused Obado of locking the community out in development projects.
