Obado roots for youth employment in Census, warns aliens not to interfere

Migori Governor Okoth Obado has called for the consideration of unemployed youth in the shortlisting for various positions in the National Housing and Population Census scheduled for August this year.

According to Obado, it was in order for the youth to be considered into the temporary job announcements by the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics.

Governor Obado also urged that the positions be given to residents of Migori County in their respective regions with those currently not residing in Migori to be given second priority.

During a presser today at Statehouse in Migori town, the governor urged members of the public to avail themselves for the exercise.

Obado urged foreign nationals not to interfere with the exercise so that Migori gets its true figures.

He assured residents of Migingo that the exercise will take place in the Isalnd that is at the center of contest between Kenya and Uganda.

Meanwhile Obado said projects executed by by the County government will be subjected to thorough supervision.

For instance, the Governor said “Gogni Rajope did a shoddy job on Sori – Rodi” road urging inspectors to ensure the work on Sori – Masara road by the company is perfect.
