Susan Owino, the loser in last Migori County Women Representative position is the new county Maendeleo ya Wanawake chair.

Owino easily floored her rival Grace Orore when she got 41 votes against Orores 2.

Judith Ouma is the new secretary after getting got 30 votes against her opponent and another loser in Awendo Constituency MP race Agnes Awinja who got 13 votes.

Janet Omwandho is the treasure after getting 29 votes to floor Rose Ghati who got 14 votes.

The new chairperson thanked voters and said she will work with all women in the county to spur devlopemnt.

Dominic Oyaya the county Gender and Social Services officer who was the returning officer said the elections were free and fair.

Speaking to Migori News Migori MP Dennitah Ghati applauded women for conducting mature election and said her office was ready to work with the new office.

Ghati urged youths and women to continue applying for Uwezo Fund saying her office will ensure no bias in allocation in all eight constituencies in Migori.
