Migori High Court Clerk, Her Boda Boda Rider Shot Dead By A Lone Gunman

A Migori High Court clerk and her boda boda rider was shot dead by a lone gunman on Friday morning.

Phoebe Auma was leaving for work at about 8am on a motorbike to the court which is 12 kilometers away when she was accosted at Koigo center in Uriri constituency.

Onlookers said at around Tunis Restaurant Auma and her rider slowed down to join the busy Kisii-Migori highway when the gunman riding a motorbike with a concealed number plate came from behind and shot them.

Auma was shot twice on the neck and head, while the rider was shot on the head.

They died on the spot and their bodies were taken to a morgue in Migori town.

County police commander Mark Wanjala said they have launched investigations over the death.
