Awendo Sub county commissioner Alfett Hadulo Jillo said the sixteen year old pupil started experiencing labour pains during her Kiswahili paper, Wednesday forcing the examiners to rush her to a nearby hospital.

“She continued with her paper at the hospital under intense labour pain but safely delivered later in the night,” Jillion said.

The administrator said the girl and her child were safe and she was stable to sit for her last examination today.

Jillo said the sixteen year old was one of the four who were suspected to be pregnant in Awendo sub-county.

Awendo sub county education Officer Magara Yobesh said that the pupil was allowed to sit for her exams in hospital as she also attended to her son.
