Nyabisawa Dormitory fire update. Several students have been hurt in the dormitory fire that started at about 7:15pm and they have been rushed to several hospitals in Migori town by locals as the school bus has stalled.

Local community members are trying to put off the fire manually as the Migori County Government is yet to buy a single fire engine.

The only fire engine in the county, belonging to Sony Sugar Company, is yet to arrive at the scene.

Julu Dorm has been affected, bringing the number to three dorms which have burnt down in a similar incident in the past five months.

The dorm has completely been razed down and students have lost all their items.

Angry parents and locals are right now seeking.redress from principal Beatrice Ure for explanation about the dorm fires.
