St. Dalmas FC wins the Wakili Peace Tourney for the third time in a row

St. Dalmas fc thrashed Opapo fc 4-3 in post penalty shootout to clinch the third edition of the Wakili peace tourney that was played at Nyaburu primary school grounds in East Kamagambo ward Rongo Sub County.

The two teams went to a barren draw in the normal 90 minutes of play before going for the penalty shootout,with St.Dalmas now proving to the 13 teams that participated in the tourney their might after clinching the trophy for the third time in a row.

In the semifinal of the games St.Dalmas fc beat Sango fc 1-0 to qualify for the finals before Opapo FC humiliating nyaburu fc 1-0 in the second semi finals.

In the play offs of the third and the fourth positions Sango fc beat Nyaburu fc 1-0.

St.Dalmas team applauded the organizers of the tournament for such an opportunity saying despite being champions for the third time in a row  they have faced tough teams who were also out to win the trophy.

While speaking during the issuance of the awards to the winning teams Mr.Herman Omiti who spoke on behalf of the Omiti Okoth’s family who were the sponsor of the tourney applauded all those who participated in the games for showing great talent during the entire exercise.

The winner of the tourney went home with the trophy, a ball and Ksh.5,000 as the first runners up pocketing Ksh 4,000 and a ball with the second runners up pocketing Ksh.3,000 and a ball and fourth position going home with Ksh.2,000 and a ball plus Ksh.1000 for the 13 teams that took part in the tourney.
