Uriri MP Mark Nyamita graced the third edition of the Sony Rugby 7s matches as the host won the cup.

Nyamita who interacted with fans said the sport has a huge potential in the county if similar tournaments are organised to get more talents for national side.

Sony Rugby Club capitalised on home ground support to win by beating Rongo Club 24-5 at the Sony Complex Academy grounds that hosted the games.

In the semis, Sony floored their next door neighbours Awendo Rugby Club by 42-0 in a one sided match in two teams that split later.

Rongo trashed Migori Rugby Club 15-07 in the semis to book their place in the finals.

Migori picked the third position after flooring Awendo, which were the underdogs to 24-0.
