The annual peace tournament kicked off today at Migori Stadium.

The tournament which is the 8th of its kind, this year brought together 25 teams from across the county.

Calvins Oketch, the tournament said this years tournament was sponsored Evans Ogutu, a youth eying Migori governor seat.

He said the tournament aimed at enhancing cohesion among the youth especially during this electioneering period.

But the youth taking part in the games said the games will help them keep busy during the short December holiday.

With the games running upto 31st of this month, the youth this will also keep them off negative vices usually associated with festivities.
