Migori governor aspirant and former legislator John Dache Pesa has officially lost the title of the Deputy Chairman of Gor Mahia..

Pesa was the first club Vice Chairman, a position which will be taken by Francis Wasuna in elections held on August 8.

Wasuna trounced former club treasurer Sally Bolo by garnering 226 votes (58.1 percent) against Sally Bolo’s 163 representing 41.9 percent of the total votes cast.

Dolphine Adhiambo was also elected the Honorary Treasurer beating Chrispine Omoga by 286 votes to 108.

In a Facebook post, Bolo protested the results terming it as not free and free and vowed to seek reprieve at the the Sports Dispute Tribunal.

Here is the new look:

  • Chairman- Ambrose Rachier (Unopposed)
  • Vice-Chairman- Francis Wasuna
  • Secretary- Sam Ocholla (Unopposed)
  • Treasurer- Dolphine Adhiambo

During the funeral of Lady Maureen, a Gor Mahia fan, Pesa took prominent role in organisation and has been taking pride in his post.

The election was done electronically, and it was not clear the results.

The Executive Committee (EC) has chosen three individuals to sit in the electoral board to oversee the election.

The three are chairman Henry Ogoye Kowero, a manager at Kenya Ports Authority, Kennedy Mbara, an advocate who will serve as secretary general and Council of Gor Mahia branches chairman Carilus Onyango who is a member of the board.
