Immediate former Awendo MP Jared Kopiyo is facing a political nightmare just weeks after hosting Deputy President William Ruto in Awendo town.

Kopiyo, who is the Migori County Public Services Board chairman a position he was given by his political ally governor Okoth Obado is facing ouster motion filed by the governor’s own MCA from North Kanyamkago MCA George Omamba.

Omamba, who has refused to follow Obado and Kopiyo to TangaTanga associated with Ruto when he was hosted on September 25, tabled the motion to seek entire board step aside over irregular recruitment.

Migori News has a copy of the motion dated dated October 7, and received by the office of speaker Boaz Okoth on October 19. Already, in a quick move by October 21 already five members committee has been formed to fast track the motion.

Omamba said on March the board advertised several vacancies which were not done with “openness and transparency in recruitment  of public servants was totally ignored by not declaring the total vacant positions that were to be filled.”

“Total number of people recruited was more than the vacant positions held by the county,” Omamba said in the motion.
