We won’t allow teachers’ transfer without consultations, Migori Knut to Matiang’i

Migori Knut members on strike

The Knut has hardened his stance on the transfers of teachers to different working stations saying they would be ignored if serious consultations have not been carried out.

Speaking at a funeral of the former regional knut secretary general Thomas Merengo, the assistant Knut Secretary General Collins Oyuu quoted the Knut constitutions that forbids families from staying apart.
This comes even as heads of schools who were transferred are expected in their new stations next week.
Mr. Oyu also pointed accusing finger at Kepsha chair Mr. Shem Ndolo of frustrating the teachers.
They however criticized the cabinet secretary on the matter of purchasing books for schools saying it was bound to fail.
