Kuria West MP Mathias Robi has called on the opposition not to disrupt business and economy in their planned rallies and what he said will turn into mass action.

Robi said it was unfortunate for less than six months after August 9 general elections opposition led by Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga have decided to politicize the country with rallies.

“As a democracy we are blessed that opposition is doing their work on oversight, but I am advising they do their rallies and mass action peacefully so that we don’t close business and derail from reviving the economy,” he said.

He said President William Ruto was elected on back of poor economy which was brought down by Raila and former President Uhuru Kenyatta under the handshake program.

“We are trying to revive a dead economy we inherited from Raila and his brother, we need to continue stabilizing the economy without hindrance from him,” Robi said.

He said Kenyans, despite their voting pattern in the last election are looking for development in better infrastructure of roads, water and agriculture inputs and all leaders should work together to ensure this become a reality.

He was speaking Nyamaharaga Mixed Secondary School in his constituency on Friday when he led distribution of four buses donated by the Kuria West NG-CDF board.

The buses were handed over to Nyamaharaga  Mixed, St. Mathias Nyamosense Girls, Getong’anya Mixed Secondary and Kuria KMTC Campus.
