A woman from Muhuru Bay ward who hosted Deputy President William Ruto have asked his to fulfill his promise to build her a home.

Jane Adhiambo had Ruto, Migori governor Okoth Obado and other leaders eat potatoes and porridge at her home during the launch of last mile connectivity.

Adhiambo was given Sh30,000 to help boost her small scale business and Ruto had promised to build her a new house, a promise yet to be fulfilled.

“We have been blessed to have the next president seat in our house, the day he walked in we have been blessed in many ways,” Adhiambo said.

She is still trying to reach Ruto through local leaders.

Her husband, Fredrick Otigo who is a pickup driver in Kisumu said they look forward to the promise.

Muhuru Bay residents have also asked Ruto to fulfill a promise to avail Sh1million promise to women groups in the ward, and push national government to allocate Sh5million in infrastructure improvement and an ambulance to Muhuru Bay Health Center.

“A promise is a debt, and Ruto promised us in public. He also asked those who will walk with him in 2022, and we also gave him a promise,” Gaston Orero, an elder said.

Residents of the sleepy town at the shores of Lake Victoria in Migori county overwhelmingly received Ruto on November 5 when he commissioned the C13 road from Kehancha-Migori-Masara which stalled before reaching Muhuru Bay in Nyatike constituency.
