Church leaders have been blamed for engaging in politics at the expense spreading the gospel.

This is after the faithful of the seventh day Adventist members’ took issues with the outgoing executive officers over misplaced agenda of the church.

They noted that for the last ten years the conference had the known pillars on which the church was built on has adversely been overlooked at the expense of individual gains.

Speaking during the 2nd quinquinal Ranen Conference held at Kamagambo Adventist College the church believers proudly brought the leaders into account for the dignity and pride that the church used to enjoy.

A faithful who did not want to be named confirmed that matters have been raised in the court of law over mismanagement of finances and human resource.

He said that the list of delegates was manipulated where some delegates were denied a chance of participation due to their critical view of bad leadership which they vowed root out.

Seventh day Adventist church Ranen conference held its 2nd quinquinal election which was a hotly contested duel.

The outgoing president pastor Samuel Omollo Ayugi faced his arch rival pastor Duncan Mumbo in which the over a thousand participants anticipated chaos which was never to be after a little known Migori central SDA church pastor Bering Ngore was overwhelmingly voted in as the new Ranen conference president.

Pastor Ayugi confirmed that the church has made tremendous revival growth which should not be overlooked and his achievements should not be watered down by his critics who have turned the church to a political arena.

Pastor Ayugi welcomed the incoming president but cautioned him against hypocritical leaders whom he claimed were sabotaging his office and jeopardizing his development agenda for selfish gains.

Pastor Bering Ngore thanked faithful for having given him opportunity to serve in that critical position.

“I am humbled by the enormous responsibility bestowed upon me by the church which I believed through God’s grace will be fulfilled,” said Ngore.

“I will bring everybody on board to help fulfill the tenets vision and mission of the seventh day Adventists church,” he added.
