Swamped by court cases after being charged with murder of his girlfriend Sharon Otieno and their unborn child, Obado announced to support Ruto.

“Kuna mamba inataka kunikula,” Obado announced before making a U-turn back to ODM where he has been treated like a pariah.

Earlier Obado met with a section of rival faction of Luo council of elders led by Nyandiko Ongadi at his Rapogi rural home in Uriri constituency.

This comes as his point men rolled out registration and membership drive across the county with keen eye of getting aspirants in all seats in the South Nyanza region where Obado wants to dislodge Raila Odinga and ODM party in the 2022 general elections.

An office three kilometers from Migori town which the governor tried to donate to the ODM party during the last general election and was rejected has been turned into the nerves center for the operation.
