Gladys Wanga, the Homa Bay Woman Representative handed ODM direct ticket to be governor candidate on August 9 polls.

This comes after a deal brokered by party leader Raila Odinga where the incumbent Cyprian Awiti was also present.

This comes after seven other aspirants backed off to support her including Suba South MP and party national chairman John Mbadi.

Former Nairobi governor Evans Kidero in reaction to the move said he was not party to the deal and will use another route to be on the ballot for the same seat.
