Former aide to ODM leader Raila Odinga, Caroli Omondi ambition to be the Suba South MP is taking shaping according to an opinion poll.

The seat felt vacant after the incumbent John Mbadi chose to unsuccessfully vie for Homa Bay governor seat. Mbadi and Caroli had a frosty relations for the seat which ended up political crimony.

In the poll by Mizani Africa, Caroli is ahead with 52.5% followed by journalist Stephen Sangira who has 31.6% while Julius Opala is third with 13.9%.

The number of undecided voters are only 2%.

The poll was conducted between 30th June – 4th July 2022.
