Nyatike MP Tom Odege as lauded Nairobi City county assembly for standing up and sending home governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
Odege said as a legislator from Migori county, he keenly followed the debate on Sonko’s impeachment on senate and was impressed by the outcome.
“I congratulate the senate and Nairobi MCAs, as leaders we are elected to defend the interest of people and we can’t tolerate arrogance and looting of public resources,” Odege said.

“This should be a warning to corrupt governors that they are not small lords who can loot money with their families, these are errors which will be fixed,” he said.
He insisted that public resources will have to be protected.
“As a legislator I support the senate and Nairobi and sending Sonko home, other assemblies should follow suit,” he said.
