Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is among the 12 members selected by the jubilee government to spearhead IEBC talks with the opposition.

The list was announced after President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP William Ruto chaired a meeting of Jubilee MPs and Senators at State House on Thursday. The rest are:

3. Nominated Senator Beatrice Elachi
4. Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi
5. Fatuma Dullo
6. Runyenjes MP Cecily Mbarire

8. Jimmy Angweyi
9. Ben Washiali
10. Mohammed Mahmoud
11. Soipan Tuya
12. Jude Njomo

Uhuru said Jubilee will forward its proposals on the joint select committee to Parliament.

He said all public and private sector stakeholders should be given an opportunity to offer submissions to the joint committee.

Raila noted that Cord is ready for dialogue and believes it will help after appointing Senators James Orengo (Siaya) and Johnstone Muthama (Machakos), Tongaren MP Eseli Simiyu, Suna East’s Junet Mohammed and Mombasa woman representative Mishi Mboko.

Chief of Staff Andrew Mondoh said in a statement that the teams will have joint secretaries – Paul Mwangi and Grace Katasi.

The move seeks to end anti-IEBC demonstrations organised by opposition every Monday.
