The forthcoming Building Bridges Initiative will be the key to unlock Kanu fortunes in the next general electoions, Baringo senator and Kanu party leader Gideon Moi has said.

Moi said the party’s recent membership drive and delegates meeting will help them gain ground in to push through the report, especially in Rift Valley: a backyard they share with Deputy President William Ruto.

” they are banking on the Building Bridges Initiative to have the independence party gain in the forthcoming general elections.

“First we will have to pass the report, afterwards Kanu’s future is bright, we are reviving membership across the country to ensure we first of all pass the BBI report,” he said.

.He added he was sure Kenyans will pass the report afterwards, “Kanu is prepared to be in the next government, that is what i can tell members and delegates.”

He said first, Rift Valley will pass the report and told Ruto that the truth “ of the matter on where the region will be in 2022 general elections will be known in the referendum ballot.”

He was speaking on Friday in Migori town’s Maranatha grounds when he was hosted by immediate former Migori speaker Gordon Ogolla.

Other leaders present were Tiaty MP William Kamket, former Kanu cabinet ministers Julius Sunkuli and Wilfred Ombui, Kuria West MP aspirant Margret Moronge among others potential aspirants.

“We have the numbers and with the fall of NASA, we will gain more seats in Nyanza. Already we have several aspirants,” Ogolla said.
