#MigoriChaos: Uhuru’s rally was unfortunate, Raila won’t apologise- ODM

Migori county Cord leaders have said chaos that marred Uhuru Kenyatta visit was unfortunate, but insisted Raila Odinga will never apologise.

They say although the chaos gave Migori a bad name globally, the party and Cord leaders should never be blamed as they didn’t organize function.

They condemned the incident citing that it a great offence and should not happen in a civilized society where people believes in democracy

Addressing the press during the party officials meeting in Migori town, Migori county ODM executive secretary Joseph Olala said that they are not happy with how leaders have turned the matter into pedantic talks.

He claimed that this is a plot to divert the effort being made to ascertain what might have led to the shameful incident.

Olala said that the matter should be left to the police to investigate it fully and the mastermind be charged in court instead of premature allegations made upon other leaders.

He also urged majority leader in the national assembly Aden Duale to watch his remarks over the issue citing that this is a serious issue which must be investigated fully.

He said Duale call for apology from Odinga is misplaced.

“Anybody with any clue should go and record a statement, but the party in Migori will never apologise to what we were not party to,” he said.

He urged people who may be having clue about the persons behind the mess to record their statement with the police to help investigate the matter.
