Members of Migori County Assembly have vowed to ensure not election take place on October 26th as planned by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

To ensure this the MCA’s urged county residents not to take part in any IEBC activity unless advised otherwise by NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga.

The MCA’s led by Deputy Speaker George Omamba said taking part in any of IEBC’s activities would be a sign of disrespect to Raila Odinga.

Hon Omamba said Migori County Assembly was not going to allow county residents to take part in an activity whose outcome is already predetermined.

“We are telling them to please refrain totally from involving yourselves in crude the crude and barbaric exercise that is there do diminish the office of Raila Odinga,” Omamba said.

Earlier on, a group of youth stormed a local hotel where IEBC was said to be training some of their staff for the repeat election later this month.

Mallan Ogega, Leader of Majority party and MCA for Oruba Ragana added that only a directive from Odinga advising them otherwise would change their stand on taking part in elections.

“Raila is our constitution because he has never disobeyed the law and for now it is very clear that there is no election,” Ogega said.

Chair of NASA parliamentary group Graham Kagali urged acting Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi and the police to exercise restraint because it is Odinga who fought for the powers they were misusing.

“We are championing for your (police) rights and you will live better lives under NASA government,” Kagali said.

They were speaking at Migori County Assembly as the house went for recess Tuesday evening.
