The Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency has distributed over 40 water tanks each with a capacity of 10,000 liters in the region to help fight Covid 19.

The agency also distributed over 200 hand-washing centers across the region they have mandate.

“We have distributed the 40 water tanks in counties of Kisii, Nyamira, Homa Bay and Migori counties where each got 10 water tanks,” the agency board chairman Dan Omino said.

He said earlier, they had distributed the hand washing centers in the region.

The agency works in Migori, Homa Bay, Kisii, Nyamira, Kisumu, Siaya, Bomet and Kericho.

“We have decided to walk closely with regional counties in the fight against the virus as our partners,” Omino said.

He was speaking in Migori town where he was hosted by County Secretary Christopher Rusana when they distributed water tanks.

The two, with top delegations from both sides, discussed about water connectivity and billing in the county.
