While addressing residents, the crowd kept chanting ODM slogans and calling ODM leader Raila Odinga’s name when Obado tried to address them severally.

Police intelligence was prempting chaos at Posta Grounds which was to be targeted on Obado as casual workers have been holding demonstrations from the grounds to his office for the whole of last week and most recently on Tuesday.

The casual workers, numbering about 1,200 has been demanding five months salaries arrears and most have absconded duty affecting garbage collection and tax collection where residents have complaint of filth.

Additionally the county government has failed to clear Sh12million electricity bill for street lights in town causing increased insecurity and Sh18million bill for pumping water which has seen residents face dry taps for weeks.
