Awendo’s Kopiyo supports anti-terror swoop

Awendo Member of Parliament Jared Kopiyo has challenged Kenyans to support government in war against terror.

Kopiyo said it Kenyans’ obligation to support security officers to help cooperate with security officers as terrorism is a big threat for Kenya and regions economy.

The legislator who was speaking at Sony Primary School during prize giving day where he insisted that terrorists must be fought at all levels regardless of religious or ethnic background.

“The war against terror pass beyond religion, culture, ethnic and economic barrier and seeks to give the country peace,” Kopiyo said.

He said that civil servants should need salary increase instead of facing a cut as a means to cut down the huge wage bill.

“Most Kenyans are living in poverty thus salary cut will result to more suffering as many survive with one meal per day,@ he said.

“Kenyans at this moment need money in their pockets to spent and grow the economy they do not need wage cuts,” Kopiyo maintained

He challenged county and national governments to upgrade war against corruption saying it is the only way to tame wage bill which has threatened development in our country.
