Lwala Community Alliance Health Centre in Rongo has been temporarily closed after 10 members of staff tested positive of Covid 19.

The management wrote to the staff to explain the decision saying it was forced to close down a health facility in line with following Ministry of Health laid down regulations to fight the virus.

“Some services such as maternity care are still being offered under strict COVID-19 guidelines,” the letter reads.

The 10, according to sources at county health department are among 14 cases that were reported in Migori County on October 15.

Migori County had recorded over 350 cases of COVID-19 and a total of six virus-related deaths.
