Kuria cattle rustlers from Kehancha steal cow, shot Rabuor man

Cattle rustlers from Kehancha in Kuria West shot a farmer and stole a cow from Rabuor village in Suna East on Wednesday night.

Okidi Kiasgro was shot through the thighs and a cow stolen.

Kiasgro was out with other villagers to trail their cattle of unknown number which were stolen from the village.

Suna East sub-county commissioner Daniel Mutiso said a team of police, anti-stock thef unit officers and chiefs have trailed the rustlers to a village in Kehancha.

 “We have zero down on a village in Kehancha and we are pushing through for them to produce the cow and the suspects,” Mutiso said.

The victim is out of danger and is receiving treatment at Migori Referral Hospital.
