Former Migori executive Rebecca Maroa has been cleared by IEBC to vie for governor seat in the August 9 polls.

Maroa has picked John Zatta who earlier wanted to be Rongo MP first on UDA ticket and later DAP-K.

Maroa said she was happy to be cleared and will use her experience as executive to spur development in Migori.

“I am not scared that Migori is Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga stronghold, democracy will prevail,” Maroa said.

Zatta said he was blessed to be back in UDA and going for a higher seat that the Rongo MP seat he was eyeing before.
