(VIDEO) Migori women leaders defend Jackiepol over sexist Citizen Weekly article

Several Migori leaders have come out to strongly condemn an article on Citizen Weekly that castigated Kanyasa MCA Jackiepol Ongoro.

The leaders said it was unfortunate that women in leadership have been forced to face harrassment and threats come everyday.

Led by Agnes Awinja, the Migori county director of gender and Komosoko-Nyamosense MCA Susan Mohabe, the group said women should stick together agenda social media bullying.

“Women in politics have spoken of their experiences of dealing with sexism and hatred on social media while voicing their political opinions,” Ongoro said.

The three said of the trend is not checked, then the number of women aspirants will dwindle.
