Uriri Member of parliament Mark Nyamita has sponsored a football tournament for his constituents set for Monday this week.

According to Nyamita, the tourney will bring together Uriri constituents to kick start this year’s Christmas celebrations whose peak will be on December 25.

The games will take place at Uriri high school and will draw teams from across the constituency in the one day event.

The MP said he took it upon himself with the help of his associates to sponsor the tournament since the CDF allocation for the same is yet to be disbursed.

“I couldn’t deny my constituents such an opportunity because the money for the same had not been disbursed,” Nyamita said.

Nyamita said Uriri has a lot of talent that is yet to be tapped and he had plans to organise more tournaments for the youth to show case their talent.

He urged on Uriri constituents to come in their numbers to come cheer their teams.
