According to the school Principal Nicholas Hongo, the fire was contained by the neighbouring community and the students themselves who responded to the alarm.

No casualties were reported in the inferno that razed property of unknown value.

Kenya however suffered a resounding 2-0 defeat at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo.

The incident comes just two weeks after after another fire incident at the school after the students were denied a chance to mingle with visiting girls.
