Uriri CDF bursary vetting to start from chief’s level, beneficiaries to get more allocation- Nyamita

The call for Uriri CDF kitty bursary by hon. Mark Nyamita

By MN Reporter

Uriri MP Mark Nyamita has said the CDF kitty bursary will have open transparency committee to vet applicants from sub-location level.

Speaking to Migori News at Rongo University on Friday during the graduation ceremony, the legislator said starting next year the kitty will not be offering less than Sh5,000 as it was the case before.

“The vetting will help get the most deserving beneficiaries who should get enough funds to progress smoothly with their education,” Nyamita said.

Nyamita said because of transparency the committee will be mandated give the final list of beneficiaries and the amount each will get, which “will be substantial.”

The legislator said the bursary will offer secondary scholarship for form one students intake, especially for orphan and vulnerable children.

Others will be continuing secondary school students and those in colleges and universities.

“We want all deserving students to start collecting application forms from December 14 to January 5 in all chief, ward admins and constituency offices across the constituency and apply,” he said.
